We, are a specialist for children and youth bikes from Bielefeld.

In 2013, former BICO managing director Axel Böse founded the company coolmobility to offer high-quality bicycles for youngsters – through all age groups. The company is based in Bielefeld in eastern Westphalia. He had acquired the trademark rights to the youth bike brand S’COOL from the company Development. From the beginning, S’COOL focused on bicycles in all product areas for children and young people. From running bikes, city bikes, mountain bikes, BMX and racing bikes to unicycles.
Since 2015, coolmobility has been the official supplier of Mercedes-Benz running bike, children’s bike and junior bike products. In 2016, the Bielefeld-based company was also able to win over the BMW Group as a partner. Together with the Munich-based automaker, the well-known BMW Kidsbike was revised and presented in a modernized form.
In 2018, coolmobility expanded its product portfolio to include the “taXXi” children’s bike trailer. Both the children’s bike trailers and the S’COOL bikes are sold exclusively through specialist bicycle retailers.
Two new brands were established for the 2020 season, the Academy Lightweight Bikes 4 Juniors and the Coast Bikes folding bike brand.
Out of conviction, coolmobility also took over the German distribution of VEE Tire Co. After VEE is already a leader in the fatbike segment, the focus is now on the Gravity, Plus and Kids & Junior segment, of course all e-bike-ready. For years, coolmobility has been relying on VEE Tire tires for the children’s and youth bikes of its S’COOL brand.

Axel Böse

CEO

Axel Böse, founder and COE, was born in 1968. Grew up in Schleswig-Holstein. Rooted in the product since his training in the bicycle trade. Via various management positions in industry and trade, the father of three decided to found coolmobility GmbH in 2013. With the acquisition of the S`COOL brand, the product orientation of the company was clear. Development, production and distribution of high-quality and "cool" junior bikes. In addition to his long experience and an extensive network in the bike scene, his "fine" product sense always provides new impulses. His objective is and remains to get children and young people on their bikes at an early stage and in a sustainable way. Especially against the background of the current environmental, health and traffic problems, this is a comprehensible company strategy.

Andreas Szygiel

Sales Manager

Andreas Szygiel is the man for sales and marketing at coolmobility - since the foundation in 2013. As the father of a 12-year-old son and an enthusiastic cyclist, the decision to establish the S’COOL Juniorbikes brand at coolmobility as a strong, sought-after specialist retail brand was a natural passion for the sales professional. Customer loyalty and satisfaction, as well as a feel for the right approach, the advertising presence in print or social media, and even the design of trade fair engagements reflect his passion. Dominic Ratcliffe

Product Manager

Dominic Ratcliffe started at coolmobility at the beginning of 2019 and is now the head of product management. He is responsible for the development & control of new products as well as the further development of our quality standards. As the father of a son born in 2016, the topic of "cool" "mobility" for children and young people is very close to his heart.
